Sananga or Bechette is a traditional Amazonian medicine made from the shredded root of the Tabernaemontana Sananho or Undulata shrub which is part of the Apocynaceae plant family. The active ingredient is Ibogaine. These powerful eye drops operate on many levels of physical, spiritual, and energetic healing.
The active ingredient, Ibogaine, acts directly on the root causes of disease, weakening the forces of “Panema” (negative energy), depression, and psychosomatic conditions (caused or aggravated by a mental factor such as internal conflict or stress). On a physical level, it cleans and refreshes the eyes and has been indicated in the treatment of glaucoma, cataracts, astigmatism, conjunctivitis, dry and red eyes, photophobia, keratoconus, eye infections, sinusitis, and chronic headaches.
Sananga also helps open the third eye, clean and expand your aura, balance the chakras, and keeps us balanced emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. I also find Sananga to induce lucid dreaming and vastly improve my dream recall.
Sananga is placed in the eyes using only one drop per eye. The immediate sensation is a burning one and this can last for several minutes. This is when we come back to our breath, breathe, and relax. Once the pain (and it does hurt) starts to subside is when you can start slowly opening your eyes again. Your eyes may be red and/or running for up to 15-30 minutes afterwards.
Sananga is OK for those who wear contacts but they would have to be removed before application. Sananga is also OK for those who undergone laser eye surgery as long as the surgery wasn’t within the last six to eight weeks.
Kambo, Rapé, and Sananga are a beautiful combination.
